Who We’ve Helped

Over the years since its inception, the ABC Cares Foundation has donated tens of thousands of dollars to construction professionals, their families and construction trainees. Here are just a few of those people we’ve been able to help.

Steve Randel; S&R Contracting

S&R Contracting owner Steve Randel lost all of his tools in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. ABC Cares stepped in and gave him a $1,000 Home Depot gift card to get him back on his feet.

“This is the first help I have received from anybody, ever. I lost all my tools in the hurricane and have been sharing a compressor among employees until I could get another one.  Thank you so much.  I appreciate this very very much.”

The Bush Family; RUSH Construction

In Christmas of 2017, Ralph Bush’s two children (ages 14 and 12) were both fighting through multiple, life-long diseases. ABC Cares stepped in and sent money to help guarantee that the kids would have presents under the tree that year.

“Ralph, the children, and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your very unexpected but much appreciated gift to our family over the holiday season.  It was a blessing beyond what words can express and will do what we can in our lives to ‘pay it forward’ in any way we can. Thank you for your commitment to community and family…and also for bringing light and joy to our family and other families in Florida.”

Rene Guzman; Net Construction

On March 31st, 2017, Rene Guzman fell three stores while working on a project. ABC Cares gave Mr. Guzman $5,000 to ensure his family would be able to continue being supported while he was recovering and out of work.

Others We’ve Helped:

After the devastating impacts of Hurricane Irma, we donated more than $7,000 to contractors in the Florida Keys affected by the storm.

Over the years, ABC Cares has donated thousands of dollars to the students of the ABC Institute for exemplary academic records.
